Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales will be a key leader within Zyter|TruCare, tasked with driving strategic revenue growth and expanding market penetration across the payer, provider, and government sectors. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this executive player-coach role combines leadership with direct involvement in sales efforts. The VP of Sales will lead the development and execution of high-impact sales strategies for acquiring new business/new logos, manage a team of experienced sales directors, and personally contribute to achieving aggressive revenue targets. This role is also critical in driving new business development, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring overall sales success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking sales strategy that aligns with Zyter|TruCare’s growth objectives and business priorities.
- Lead the organization’s market engagement efforts for new business, driving a strong C-level strategy to enhance brand visibility and positioning within the healthcare sector.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape long-term sales and business development strategies.
Sales Management and Execution
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team, establishing a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Oversee the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation and pipeline development to contract negotiation and deal closure, ensuring robust sales conversion.
- Focus on sales strategies that involve new customer acquisition
- Create compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively articulate Zyter|TruCare’s value proposition and competitive advantages.
Operational Excellence
- Manage the sales forecasting process, providing accurate revenue projections and deep market insights to guide business planning.
- Partner with finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive sales initiatives that align with broader company goals.
- Analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Refine and optimize sales processes and tools, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Team Development and Enablement
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier sales talent, fostering professional growth and a high-performance environment.
- Develop and manage comprehensive sales enablement programs, including training, tools, and resources to support the sales force and partner network.
- Promote a collaborative approach to sales, leveraging cross-functional expertise to maximize market impact and customer satisfaction.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- At least 15 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading a sales team
- Extensive experience in selling to payers, providers, and government entities, with a thorough understanding of government procurement processes, healthcare regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth in a healthcare technology or SaaS environment.
- In-depth knowledge of value-based care technologies, metrics, and methodologies, including population health management, care coordination, and data interoperability.
- Proficiency with HubSpot Sales Hub or similar CRM platforms for managing sales pipelines and forecasting.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, particularly in engaging with C-level executives.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and building strategic partnerships in highly regulated environments.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.
